D. R. Davis
Deborah Ruth Davis LCPC, LPC, CTMH

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (in Kansas), as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor (in Alaska), and a Certified Tele-Mental Health Professional (Nationally).
Doing counseling and empowering people are my passions. In 2013, I went into private practice as a therapist, creating an LLC. The company name is Creativity Matters: Art and Therapy, LLC (on Facebook at
https://www.facebook.com/deborahr.davis.108).
After going to Kansas State University for my Undergraduate Degree in Psychology and Leadership Studies I went on to get a double-master's degree (one in Art Therapy and the other in Mental Health Counseling at Emporia State University). I got my clinical experience through working at two different Community Mental Health Centers and two separate Emergency Rooms (one at a prominent, and rather busy, hospital 38-room ER in the Kansas City area). I have also taught college classes at two different colleges as well as two different universities as an Adjunct Professor. Now, I am fulfilling my life-long dream of being in private practice and writing books. (More about the books can be found at www.drdavisbooks.com.)
I am licensed in two different states: Kansas and Alaska. After spending 8 years providing counseling services in Kodiak, Alaska, I moved back to Kansas and have retained my license in Alaska in order to continue to assist with the need for mental health services in that area. There have also been requests for my services from those here in Kansas, thus having licenses in both states.
Currently, I am seeing clients via Tele-Mental Health Services in Alaska, and In-Person Therapy in Kansas.
